Terry Bradshaw was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on September 2, 1948. Bradshaw was raised by his mother and father, a US Navy veteran, with two brothers, with the ambition of being a professional football player from an early age. Terry joined Louisiana Tech University after demonstrating his talent in high school.

Terry went to Woodlawn High School where he was looked after by coach Williams. He guided the Knights to the AAA state title game in 1965. He established a national record for javelin throwing at 245 feet while at Woodlawn.

His achievements landed him a position in Sports Illustrated’s Faces In The Crowd section. Bradshaw chose Louisiana Tech University in Ruston as his college. He is a part of the Tau Kappa Epsilon organization and has a strong connection to his alma institution.

Bradshaw was regarded by most professional scouts as the best college football player in the country in 1969. Bradshaw graduated with nearly all of Louisiana Tech’s passing records.

He was named into the Louisiana Tech Sports Hall of Fame’s first class in 1984. He was honored at the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame four years later.
