Tarsem began his career as a lyricist with the song “Vehli Janta,” which was sung by Kulbir Jhinjher. In 2013, he wrote the lyrics to the song “College Di Yaad,” which became a great hit and won him acclaim. Jassar made his singing debut in 2014 with the Punjabi song “Attwadi,” which did not chart.
