Steve Harvey is an American all-round entertainer who wears various hats – a comedian, a television host, a producer, and a radio personality just to name a few of his job titles. Harvey was born in Welch, West Virginia, and is the son of Jesse Harvey, a coal digger, and Eloise Vera. His initial name is Broderick, titled after actor Broderick Crawford of the TV series Highway Patrol.
