Steve Burns Career
Steve Burns auditioned for the action children’s television show Blue’s Clues in 1995. He assumed it was a voice-over role at the time. He failed to impress the Nickelodeon executives at first, but after the 100 applicants had completed their auditions, he was finally chosen.
According to Traci Paige Johnson, executive producer and co-creator of Nickelodeon, Steve became the most authentic out of 100 people after auditioning. Steve Burns first appeared in this popular children’s show in 1996, and it was the turning point in his career. He appeared in all 100 episodes of Blue’s Clues and received a lot of attention during that period.
After hosting the popular children’s show for six years, from 1996 to 2002, he announced his departure as a host in the series’ final episode in 2002, and introduced his replacement, actor Donovan Patton, as his brother, Joe, to the audience. He helped with the series’ production while also acting as a host.
According to Johnson’s accounts, Steven had no desire to become a children’s host in the past, but he remained involved with the show for a long time. He shaved his head in the final episode of the show before being replaced by Donovan Patton, the new presenter. He continued his musical career after leaving Blue’s Clues and began work on his upcoming debut album.
On the 12th of August, 2003, Steve Burns released his debut album Songs for Dustmites. The Flaming Lips’ American singer Steven Drozd was featured on many of the album’s singles.
