Simon Guobadia was born in Nigeria in 1964. He grew raised in an upper-middle-class family with seven younger brothers and sisters. Stanley Guobadia, his father, had a distinguished career with the Nigerian Prison Services, retiring as the Assistant Director of Prisons.

The 57-year-old earned his primary and secondary schooling in Nigeria before attending Loyola College in Ibadan. Simon studied in Government College Ughelli in Delta State Nigeria after graduating from Loyola College, but dropped out before completing his degree and moved to the United States in 1982. Simon earned a BBA in accounting from the University of District Columbia after coming to the United States in 1993.

Simon Guobadia Career

Simon began his work as a tax manager at Deloitte, a firm based in Atlanta. He worked at the company for two years, from 2004 to 2006. He took over as CEO of the SIMCOL Group in January 2007. Simultaneously, he served as the CEO of SIMCOL Petroleum.

In January, he began working for KLC Petroleum Transport LLC. He served as the company’s CEO. Aside from his entrepreneurial endeavours, he has also dabbled as a film executive producer.  Buckhead Theatre, Jail Dogs, Kill, and Son of the South are a few of his notable films.

Simon’s Restaurant first opened its doors in 2017. Due to the Pandemic’s effect in May 2020, the eatery was permanently closed. He formerly owned TIme and Buckhead Bottle Bar, both of which shuttered in 2014. He has invested more than $3.8 million in the operation of the Bottle Bar. SIMCOL Restaurant Concepts was charged with Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2014, and the sum was released.

Later, he stated that the Chapter 11 bankruptcy had been discharged and that all creditors had been paid in full.

Simon Guobadia’s wife was reality star Falynn Guboadia. On July 14, 2019, he married Falynn at Hyatt Regency’s Villa Christina. Surprisingly, both of their weddings were second marriages. Simon has five children from his previous marriage, and Falynn has three.

Rumors are swirling that the couple is having marital problems. They don’t follow each other on Instagram. Simon, too, went on vacation without Falynn. It could all be rumour, but no official word on their divorce has been released.
