Rani Mukerji completed her schooling at Maneckjee Cooper High School, Juhu, Mumbai, and joined Mithibai College, Mumbai to pursue graduation. Despite being from a family active in Bollywood, she was never attracted to pursue acting as her career. Mukerji is a trained Odissi dancer, she beginning taking lessons in dance when she was in her 10th grade.
