A Colombian professional footballer Radamel Falcao Garcia Zarate (born 10 February 1986,) plays forward for Rayo Vallecano in La Liga and often serves as captain of the Colombia national team. One of the greatest Colombian footballers of all time, he is known as El Tigre (Spanish for The Tiger). His professional career began at the age of 13 with Lanceros Boyacá, before he transferred to River Plate, where he played with their youth academy from 2001 to 2005 and won the 2007–2008 Clausura tournament. Upon joining Porto in 2009, he won several trophies, including the UEFA Europa League and Primeira Liga double in 2011.
Atlético Madrid acquired Falcao for a club record of €40 million in August 2011. He played an integral role in the club’s 2012 Europa League and Super Cup victories. In 2011–12 and 2012–13, Falcao was the third-highest goalscorer in La Liga behind Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. In spite of interest from top European clubs, Falcao controversially signed for newly promoted Ligue 1 side Monaco in 2013 for a club record €60 million. He spent the remainder of his debut season on loan at Premier League clubs Manchester United and Chelsea following an ACL injury that forced him to miss six months of play.
He led Monaco to their first Ligue 1 title in 17 years after rejoining them in the summer of 2016. Falcao joined Galatasaray in 2019, before returning to La Liga with Rayo Vallecano in 2021. Since he broke the previous record of 25 goals in June 2017, Falcao has won over 100 caps and scored 35 goals for Colombia, making him their all-time top scorer. In 2011, 2015, and 2019, he represented his country. Falcao missed the 2014 World Cup because of injury, but he made his World Cup debut in 2018.
In 2011, Falcao scored 17 goals in a European campaign, set the record for most goals in an international club competition, and won the Europa League with two teams (Porto in 2011 and Atlético in 2012). He’s Monaco’s highest goal scorer ever (83). In 2012, he made the FIFA FIFPro World XI, finished fifth in the 2012 FIFA Ballon d’Or, and won the Globe Soccer Best Footballer award. Atlético Madrid fans honored Falcao with a plaque outside the Metropolitano Stadium in November 2018.

The football legend, Radamel Falcao Garcia Zarate, was born in Santa Marta, Colombia on the 10th of February 1986.

Upon his birth, his father named him Falcao in honor of the ex-Brazilian midfielder Paulo Alberto Falcao. His family does not include him.
In ideal circumstances, no member of his family has ever used the name Falcao. Although he could only crawl when he was a child, he watched his dad play football and requested the same size football to be placed at his feet.
His tenacity earned him the nickname “El Tigre” (“The Tiger”) from teammates at Club Atlético River Plate in Buenos Aires, Argentina. As can be seen here, he has grown into a handsome boy with a fine open tooth.
After moving to Club Atlético River Plate in Argentina, he moved to FC Porto in Portugal and Atlético Madrid in Spain, where they finished fifth in the 2012 Ballon d’Or voting.

As a footballer, I was willing to help him form, grow, mature, and let him take his own path with free will.
