In 2011, Parineeti Chopra made her acting debut with the film Ladies vs Ricky Bahr Although she portrayed a supporting role in the movie, her performance was critically acclaimed and won her a Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. Next, she starred in “Ishaqzaade” opposite Arjun Kapoor. Parineeti played the role of a tomboy Muslim girl who marries a Hindu boy. The movie got positive reviews from analysts, and she earned crucial acclaim for her performance.
She next performed alongside Sushant Singh Rajput and Vaani Kapoor in the romantic comedy-drama Shuddh Desi Romance in 2013.
