Club Career

Munir Mohamedi joined AD Ceuta’s reserve team shortly after graduating, and he made his debut in 2008. On January 29, 2009, Munir Mohamedi transferred to UD Almeria B, a Tercera Division team, after a season.

Munir, a Melilla native, made his senior debut in the regional leagues in 2008 with the reserves of AD Ceuta after graduating from the junior program at the team CG Goyu Ryu. He transferred to UD Almeria B from the Tercera División on January 29, 2013, although he only made a few appearances before being released.

Munir joined UD Melilla in the summer of 2009; originally, he was given a reserve role; nevertheless, the following year, he was unquestionably promoted to the main group for the Segunda División B. In his first two seasons at the club, he primarily served as Pedro Dorronsoro’s backup until moving up to the starting lineup.

Munir agreed to a two-year contract with Segunda División team CD Numancia on June 17, 2014. He made his professional debut on September 10 by starting in a 1-1 Copa del Rey away draw against CD Leganés and making two penalty kick saves in the shootout.

On October 19, 2014, Munir made his second-tier debut, playing the full 90 minutes in UD Las Palmas’ 2-0 defeat. He then replaced Biel Ribas as the primary choice for the remainder of the campaign.

After losing his starting position to Aitor Fernández at the end of the 2017–18 season, Munir quit the Soria squad. He joined Málaga CF, also in the second level, on July 19, 2018. Munir participated in the Turkish Süper Lig from 2020 to 2022 with Hatayspor. He signed a two-year contract with the Saudi Arabian team Al Wehda FC on June 10, 2022.

The second half got off to a much slower start than the first as Iran, led by Carlos Quieroz, began to claw their way back into the game.

After taking a hard fall, Watford winger Nordin Amrabat, who plays as a wing-back for Morocco, appeared to have concussion symptoms. The country’s medical team wisely decided to call for him to be substituted, and his younger brother Sofyan took his place.

Nordin Amrabat, who appeared to have suffered a concussion, was lost to injury for Morocco. As the second half went on, both teams grew extremely fatigued as a late comeback for either side appeared less and less likely. As the game entered its final ten minutes without a breakthrough, Ajax’s Hakim Ziyech stung Beiranvand hands with a half-volley from outside the box.

However, as has been the early pattern in these finals, a goal would come in the dying moments. Ehsan Haji Safi put in a low free-kick to the near-post as Bouhaddouz lunged for the ball and unintentionally sent it past Mohamedi.
