Marcelo Vieira, a Brazilian football player who plays as a left-back for Real Madrid, is a veteran and captain of the Spanish club. Many consider him to be one of the greatest left-backs in history. The 18-year-old Marcelo won a Campeonato Carioca with Fluminense in 2005, then qualified for the Brasileiro Team of the Season in 2006. He joined Real Madrid for $8 million at the end of the year.
