Jesse Lingard is an English professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for ‘Manchester United’ and for the English national team. Jesse joined Manchester United’s youth academy at the age of seven when he was born and raised in Cheshire. In many of their youth teams, he has remained a key player since then. The performance was one of the highlights of Manchester United’s victory in the 2010–2011 ‘FA Youth Cup’ final, following which he was offered a contract with the team.
Jesse was loaned to Leicester for a month in November 2012. The following few years, his average performance made him anxious, and he faced the possibility of being loaned out to other teams. He was determined to make it to the Manchester United first team, and in 2015 he was finally included in the club’s senior team. ‘Manchester United’ offered Jesse a contract for four years with an open option to extend it for another year in April 2017. Before joining the senior team in 2015, he played for the national ‘Under-17’ and ‘Under-21’ teams.
