Jermaine Dupri Mauldin, the son of Tina (Mosley) and Michael Mauldin, a Columbia Records executive, was born on September 23, 1972. Dupri began his bright musical career when he was just ten years old. Early days of his career
Silk Tymes Leather, a female hip hop trio, was his debut act, which he produced in 1990. After meeting the lads at a local mall in 1990, he founded the adolescent combo Kris Kross (Chris Kelly and Chris Smith).
