Usually, that part of Antwerp is associated with problems of poverty, crime, and trafficking. The mother of Jeremy Doku (Belinda) once said:
The atmosphere is very bad. It is quite easy to meet bad people. Alcohol and drugs are readily available, and children can easily get involved. I was fortunate that both my sons were drawn to football.

The Football Story of Jeremy Doku
Stardom began at the tender age of six. His parents (David and Belinda) took their son to the Devils of KVC Olympic Deurne (a small Belgian team) for trials in 2008.
A ten-minute drive from their family home, KVC Olympic Deurne is close to their home. An aspiring Jeremy passed the trials with flying colors, to the joy of his family.
In addition to playing with the Devils of Olympic Deurne, Jeremy was also a part of Tubantia Borgerhout, which became their partner and a bigger team. Jeremy Doku joined them to open up opportunities for a bigger academy.
A year after joining Tubantia Borgerhout, the youngster began looking for an exit.
The club went bankrupt because of this. After Tubantia Borgerhout closed its doors, Jeremy began looking for a stable academy.
This is the story of Beerschot AC
Even so, Jeremy found himself settled with one of Antwerp’s best academies within the northern Belgian city. It is only 17 minutes from his home to the football academy, known for launching young talents into national prominence, Beerschot AC.
There is a Belgian club based in southern Antwerp, which is known for producing players such as Toby Alderweireld, Moussa Dembélé, Radja Nainggolan, Jan Vertonghen, and Victor Wanyama.
Jeremy started following in the footsteps of Radja Nainggolan, whom he made his idol while he was at Beerschot. His father, David Doku, recalls that it was only until Beerschot that it became obvious what a talent he really had.
A year after joining the club, Jeremy, who has the appearance of being a leader on his side, helped his team to win a renowned youth cup.
As soon as the youngster won the trophy for Beerschot, it was obvious that he was going to have a chance to become a national star in the future.
As a result of his remarkable talent, many of the biggest clubs in the country have been attempting to convince his parents to have him sign for their team.
It was in the year 2012, when Jeremy was only 10 years old, that R.S.C. Anderlecht became the lucky team that signed him.
Due to the fact that he was still in school, Anderlecht’s Purple Talents boarding school offered him a scholarship.
Jeremy Doku left his family in Antwerp for the first time, traveling nearly 50 kilometers south of Belgium to dedicate himself to his new surroundings. The club paid for his secondary education.
Life in Anderlecht
Jeremy saw a lot of good players at his new club. Due to his dribbling and speed, he had more quality than most. The one he used to impress Stéphane Stassin, his trainer from the U12.
Due to his desire to complete secondary school, his training was limited. Despite this, he performed well during matches.
His feat earned him a call to the Belgium U15 youth team. The same happened at the national youth level as he progressed through the club ranks.
Assuming an arrogant attitude
At the end of his teenage years, Jeremy Doku developed a different personality on the pitch.
The nickname “Arrogant One” and “King of Dribbles” came from the way he put his foot on the ball and waited for the opposing layers to come to him. He dribbled them and put his feet back on the ball when they came.
Rather than shooting, Jeremy Doku kept his feet on the ball, waiting for his opponents to catch up.
Coach Stéphane Stassin yelled at him and repeatedly advised him to score goals. The ball never left Jeremy’s hands because he was always on it, humiliating his opponents.
Here is the advice
Jeremy Doku tidies up very quickly after training because he had 10 minutes to eat, shower, and go back to school.
Jeremy held on to the ball and called out to his coach to dribble him – which he did in a new style. After expressing appreciation for Jeremy’s hard work, Stéphane Stassen gave him a piece of advice;
If you want to play in a big club, you’ll have to do something more than dribbling.
As a result of hearing that advice, he started working on his passing and making more assists. As the most important player for Anderlecht in his age group, Jeremy maintained his sport.
Liverpool’s temptation
He began receiving transfer offers when he was 15 years old. Five to six of the biggest clubs in Europe were on the table.
Among the clubs that wanted him were Arsenal, Chelsea, and Dutch clubs, but especially Liverpool. During the 2017-2018 season, especially the Reds pulled Doku’s sleeves.
In January 2017, Liverpool invited Jeremy Doku’s parents, including himself, to visit their facility with Steven Gerrard and Jürgen Klopp.
His England club explained their ambition to him – that he would become Sadio Mane’s long-term successor.
Both David and Belinda Doku (his parents) were seduced not just by Liverpool’s sports project but also by its financial security.
Liverpool’s sweet talk had already won over the small lightning-fast flank attacker (Jeremy).
Intervention by Lukaku
It is evident that Anderlecht did not want to lose their best player on the cheap to Liverpool. In order not to lose him, the club had to reach out to one of their past heroes, Romelu Lukaku, who was one of their past heroes.
The Big Belgian was deemed to be the only one who could persuade Jeremy Doku to stay because of his enormous respect for him.
In an effort to facilitate a session between Lukaku and Jeremy, the club arranged a video call between the two of them. In that meeting, the legendary Belgian striker said as follows:
Hello, I’m Romelu, and I’m from Anderlecht. I played there for years, too. If I could give you some advice, I believe that you should stay at this club, at the very least earn a graduation degree in Academy football.
Thank you, Steven Gerrard, thank you to Jürgen Klopp, but no thanks for having me. Jeremy followed Lukaku’s advice, despite the fact that Liverpool had promised him astronomical sums.
It was a big relief to Anderlecht that he would no longer be slipping through their fingers.
Jeremy Doku signed a professional contract with the club at the start of the 2018/2019 season to the joy of his family and club.
Success Story of Jeremy Doku
Jeremy’s father david says the family was very happy when he decided to stay with anderlecht. The period before that was very difficult for the family because there was a lot of interest in him. Jeremy’s desire is to be successful at anderlecht first.
Doku was already out of secondary school when he signed his contract. After that, he focused his entire attention on training.
Soon, everyone began to talk about him, saying he was the future of Belgium. That he was going to explode.
Jeremy Doku made his debut for Anderlecht when he was 16 years and 182 days old.
Romelu Lukaku (16 years 11 days), Youri Tielemans (16 years 82 days) and others were even younger.
Because Jeremy was already physically and athletically ready to make a name for himself, he had no problem integrating into the first team.
It didn’t take long for him to realize that the Belgian League was already too small for him. Many big clubs around Europe were vying for his signature at the time.
Success in France and on the National Team
Royal Sporting Club Anderlecht, as they are known, has finally achieved what they wanted. They wanted to see the value of their star player rise so they could cash out the transfer.
Doku signed for Rennes for 26 million euros on the 5th of October 2020. Now he is playing in one of the biggest leagues in the world.
Upon his arrival at Stade Rennais Football Club, the forward’s ability has progressed from strength to strength.
Jeremy Doku’s experience playing alongside Steven Nzonzi and Eduardo Camavinga has brought out the best in him.
After a huge rise in club football, his whole family waited for the moment. On the 5th of September 2020, Doku was contacted by the Belgian national team.
In the UEFA Nations League, he scored his first goal for Belgium three days after making his debut.
Jeremy was able to do anything he wanted with the ball during this period. He possessed a flair that was impossible to teach.
Belgium’s Eight Goal Trashing of Belarus
Jeremy Doku continued his meteoric rise to national prominence in 2021.
During the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, the nugget, along with Michy Batshuayi, Leandro Trossard, Dennis Praet, and Christian Benteke, combined to destroy Belarus 8 goals to zero.
Jeremy Doku is on the verge of blossoming into a world-class forward before our very eyes, without a doubt.
In the long line of Right Wingers coming out of Belgium, the 5-foot 7 Speed Dribbler is regarded as one of the best. The rest, as we say in his bio, is history.
Jeremy Doku’s Girlfriend or Wife to be
As a result of being successful and rising to the demands of national and club football, it is only natural for fans to reflect on a saying.
There should be a girlfriend or WAG for every successful footballer. Woodgram has decided to conduct research in order to find out who Jeremy Doku is dating.
There is no question that Jeremy’s handsome looks would not attract females who could pose themselves as potential wives, girlfriends, or aspiring mothers.
It was reported by the sources that one of Jeremy Doku’s parents – notably his father (David) – confirmed that his son had no girlfriend as of May 2020. Before he moved to Rennes in October 2020.
At the time of posting this Bio, we are sure he doesn’t wander alone in the capital city of Brittany, northwest France.
Therefore, there is a possibility that the footballer and his girlfriend are in a secret relationship, which shouldn’t be made public, at least for now.
Personal life of Jeremy Doku
He is, first and foremost, a quiet boy who prefers to talk with his feet. He can sometimes be hard to understand. Due to Jeremy’s facial appearance, you didn’t know how he felt.
Jeremy Doku is an unassuming young man with a misunderstood personality. It is worth noting this. He was not arrogant at all. Jeremy is an ordinary youngster who shouldn’t be considered an alien.
His personality makes him somewhat of a complicated case. Jeremy Doku’s best quotes that have inspired him are;
The key to success is to dream big and to fear nothing.
The first thing you notice about the footballer is that he seems to be a normal guy who is exceptionally quiet. Jeremy keeps so much to himself that you rarely see him with friends, even in his house.
Apart from football, his father (David) noted that his son could stay at home all day. Jeremy also enjoys playing on his PlayStation. He appears to prefer PES to FIFA as far as gaming is concerned.
Family life of Jeremy Doku
The sacrifice that his mother (Belinda) and father (David) have made for him is one of his greatest blessings in life.
Our family life section will tell you more about his family members, starting with the head of the household.
A short biographical sketch of Jeremy Doku Father
It is a man who has mastered the art of having good premonitions about his son. David has been right about nearly every prediction he made about Jeremy.
He was able to predict when he would make his debut, as well as other aspects of his success. It is the oracle of a very lively man who is his son’s chief priest and the driving force behind his success.
A short biographical sketch of Jeremy Doku Mother
The Speed Dribbler aspires to sign big contracts that will allow him to make so much money in his career.
He is constantly inundated by one woman who constantly informs him of the dangers of choosing money over his wellbeing. This woman is none other than his mother, Belinda Doku.
When Jeremy heard of the huge sums of money that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool had promised to offer him, he ran to his mum and screamed; Jeremy had been enticed by Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool after all;
Mama, Mama, that’s it, we can finally have a wealthy family.
As Jeremy reported, he was very impressed with the jet spa in the Liverpool training center, which is something he has not seen before.
In spite of his anger, Belinda had to calm him down, explaining to him that he needs to stay with R.S.C. Anderlecht until he graduates from senior football.
A short biographical sketch of Jeremy Doku’s Brother
Having once been a footballer and aspiring to become one, he now shows his little brother the way to become a footballer. The little brother is also as fast as Jeremy.
As a result, this implies that speed runs in the family. In addition to being a fast runner, he is more than just a brother to his sister. And we have proof of it.
As Jeremy, Jefferson also played for Anderlecht – but he didn’t have the same success.
In the opinion of his father, David, his eldest son stayed for a long time without having a good club call for his services. As a consequence, he abandoned his dream of managing his little brother for a long time.
Here is what happened that led Jefferson to take the bold decision he did. The 18-year-old footballer, upon leaving his family in October 2020, feared he would be really homesick. in the future.
The fact is, it is not easy for a teenager like Jeremy to leave his country in order to play senior football in France. This would be especially difficult if he were an introvert like him.
Jeremy Doku’s family, including every member of his immediate family, feared that his personal life would be seriously affected by his involvement in such a scandal.
Jefferson once said the following in an interview with media, a Dutch-language newspaper based in Antwerp, Belgium:
My mum is at the very top of that list for fearing the most. I realize it will be very hard for her to watch me and my brother stay alone together. WITH THAT IN MIND, I am willing to give up my career in order to support him.
It’s that simple. Jefferson made the ultimate sacrifice. In order to help his little brother live his dream, he put his own life on hold. To him, he is more than just a brother, he is a friend.
