The Colombian professional footballer Jefferson Andres Lerma Solis (born 25 October 1994) is a central midfielder for AFC Bournemouth and the Colombia national team. In addition to playing right back, he has played defensive midfield. A youth product of Atlético Huila, Lerma played for three years in Colombia before going on loan to Levante. On a four-year contract, Levante bought Lerma outright that same year.
As he joined AFC Bournemouth for a reported €30 million in 2018, Lerma set the club’s transfer record. At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, Lerma played for Colombia’s Olympic team. Originally from El Cerrito, Valle del Cauca, Lerma graduated with Atlético Huila’s youth setup. On 30 March, he made his professional debut after being promoted to the main squad in January.
