In the late 1990s, Chan became his Chinese name to Fong Si-lung, since his father’s original surname was Fong.
In 1982, Chan married Joan Lin, a Taiwanese actress. Their son, singer, and actor Jaycee Chan was born that same year. After he engaged in an extra-marital affair with Elaine Ng Yi-Lei, an illegitimate daughter by the name of Etta Ng Chok Lam was born on 18 January 1999.
It changed into a scandal within the media. Although he reportedly gave Elaine 70,000 HK dollars each month for her living expenses and 600,000 HK dollars when she went to Shanghai, the transactions were later claimed to be nonexistent by her lawyer.
Despite lamenting the results of the affair, Chan told he had “only committed a fault that many men in the world commit”. During the incident, Elaine said she would take care of her daughter without Chan.

FAQs
Recently, during a stunt gone wrong while filming one of his latest films, Vanguard, an incident with a jet ski left Jackie Chan underwater and trapped under a rock. In an odd coincidence, that very film’s January premiere in China has been postponed indefinitely, due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus.
Two martial arts icons, Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee had a humorous encounter in the early 1970s. It was during the filming of entering the Dragon that Bruce Lee had an interesting meeting with Jackie Chan, who had yet to become a star but had worked as a stuntman on Bruce Lee’s second movie, Fist of Fury.
At the Peking Opera School, Jackie Chan trained martial arts and acrobatics for a decade. When he entered the film industry, he learned Hapkido and eventually attained his black belt. He is also known to have trained in other martial art forms such as Karate, Judo, TaeKwonDo, and Jeet Kun Do.
In terms of Martial Arts, Bruce Lee is undoubtedly better. He is often quoted and amply studied. In terms of movies, Jackie Chan is the greater. I like Chan, he is fun to watch but look closely at what he does.
