Indravathi Chauhan comes from the Banjara community, and her mother tongue is Gor Boli, commonly known as Lambadi and noted for having no script. Her parents are unknown. Her elder sister, Satyavathi Rathod, popularly known as Mangli, is a well-known Indian playback singer and anchor. Mangli has sang Indravti’s song “Oo Antava Mava Oo Antava” in Kannada. Career
Despite not having a classical singing background, Indravathi participated in a folk singer’s event organised by her sister Mangali. When music director Devi Sri Prasad (commonly known as DSP) was seeking a new voice for the song “Oo Antava Mava Oo Antava,” Indravathi shared her audition film of herself singing on the show. She was chosen and asked to do a vocal test. This is how she won the popular dance song “Oo Antava Mava Oo Antava” in 2021.
Indravathi has also sung songs for George Reddy, including ‘Jaji Mogulali’ (2019), ‘Gandhasiri Vanamali’ (2021), ‘Mai Sadke Jaun’ (2021), and Chhuwan (2022).
