Jesse Jackson Net Worth, Age, Height, Education, & Career

Early Life

Wright was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He attended Hyde Park Academy High School and dropped out when he was 16 years old. Meek Mill, Jeezy, Gucci Mane, Yo Gotti, and Lil Wayne were all influences on him. He is good friends with Lil Bibby, a fellow rapper with whom he has worked on a number of songs.

Both artists are members of the N.L.M.B. family, which was formed by the merger of No Limit, a renegade faction of the Almighty Black P. Stone Nation, and the Muskegon Boyz, a renegade faction of the Gangster Disciples, although the initials N.L.M.B. are now also used by the gang to signify “Never Leave My Brothers” and “No Limit Muskegon Boys.” N.L.M.B. is a “brotherhood” rather than a gang, according to Wright.

G Herbo Personal Life

Professional Career

G Herbo and Lil Bibby originally garnered popularity with the song “Kill Shit,” which has over 50 million views on YouTube. When Canadian musician Drake referred to Lil Herb and Lil Bibby as “the future,” the hip-hop community took notice. Welcome to Fazoland, Herbo’s debut mixtape was released on February 17, 2014. The mixtape is named after Fazon Robinson, one of Herbo’s first friends to be slain in Chicago by gun violence. “Since drill sprang to prominence a few years ago, lyrical bankruptcy has remained one of its most prevalent complaints; Herb’s skill with words defies the stereotype,” wrote Fader of Welcome to Fazoland.

Herbo partnered with East Coast rapper Nicki Minaj on “Chiraq” in April 2014. On Common’s album, Nobody’s Smiling, he contributed to the song “The Neighborhood.” Herb was chosen for the 2014 Freshman Class edition of XXL’s Show & Prove feature. Herbo also collaborated with Chance the Rapper and Common on “Fight or Flight (Remix).” Herbo dropped the surprise mixtape Pistol P Project on December 26, 2014, his second project of the year.

Herbo had a cameo appearance on Chief Keef’s “Faneto (Remix)” on April 2, 2015, alongside fellow Chicago rappers King Louie and Lil Bibby. Herbo released a single named “XXL” on June 9, 2015, after being left off the 2015 XXL Freshman Cover. XXL responded with praise for the rapper, stating that he “switches between different flows seamlessly.” Herbo partnered with East Coast rapper Nicki Minaj on “Chiraq” in April 2014. Wright officially changed his rap pseudonym to G Herbo and signed with Cinematic Music Group on September 3, 2015. Herb announced on September 27, 2015, that Ballin’ Like I’m Kobe would be published on September 29, 2015. The mixtape was released on September 29, 2015, to tremendous critical praise.

Herbo and New York rapper Joey Badass released a joint track titled “Lord Knows” on November 11, 2015. Herbo confirmed the title of his debut album, Humble Beast, in an interview at SXSW on April 4, 2016, saying, “You can absolutely expect an album in 2016.” He released two songs in mid-2016, “Pull Up” and “Drop.” In March 2016, Herbo released the track “Yeah I Know.”

On October 10, 2016, Herbo released his fourth song, “Ain’t Nothing to Me,” which was accompanied by a music video. On the same day, he released “Strictly 4 My Fans (Intro),” the mixtape’s second track.

It was also disclosed that Herbo and Lil Bibby are working on a collaboration project called No Limitation. Herbo published Welcome To Fazoland 1.5 on March 17, 2017, which included previously unheard tracks from Welcome To Fazoland. In March 2016, the single “Yea I Know” was released. For Humble Beast, three singles were released. On March 9, 2017, the first single, “Red Snow,” was released. On August 11, 2017, the second single, “I Like,” was released. On August 25, 2017, the third and final single, “Everything,” was released. On September 1, 2017, a pre-order single for “4 Minutes of Hell, Pt. 5” was published. Humble Beast was published later that month, on September 22, 2017. Later, Herbo releases a deluxe edition of Humble Beast.

On March 16, 2018, Herbo performed a freestyle to the beat used in the song “Who Run It” on K104 in Dallas, Texas. The entire remix was published on all music outlets six days later. The freestyle gained such much traction that Lil Uzi Vert later used it in his own remix of “Who Run It.” Herbo released the track “Shook” before this collaboration. This song was included in the Humble Beast Deluxe Edition, which was published in 2018. He also released a few of more songs throughout the year, including “Focused” and “Swervo.” Herbo released Swervo on July 27, 2018, with contributions from rappers 21 Savage, Chief Keef, Young Thug, and Juice Wrld.

The hits “Swervo,” “Focused,” and “Who Run It” was featured on this album, but not the Lil Uzi Vert remix. Southside was responsible for the whole production of this record. They had previously collaborated, but never on an album. Vic Mensa released his album HOOLIGANS on December 14, 2018. Herbo made an appearance in the song “Rowdy.” The track “Up It” was released in early 2019, and it appears on his second album, Still, Swervin, which was released on February 1, 2019, and was totally produced by Southside.

G Herbo released the album PTSD on February 28, 2020, which included A Boogie wit da Hoodie, BJ the Chicago Kid, Lil Durk, Chance the Rapper, Juice Wrld, Lil Uzi Vert, 21 Savage, Polo G, and others. On the Billboard 200, the album debuted at number seven. G Herbo returned with a new song and video, “Statement,” on December 18, 2020. He addresses and denies the allegations of fraud that were filed against him and many other suspected collaborators earlier this month.

Lil Bibby stated in a February 2021 interview that G Herbo had approached him about finishing work on their impending collaboration effort, No Limitations. Bibby indicated that the project will be completed in 2021. Herbo made a comeback on March 5 with two new tracks, “Break Yoself” and “Really Like That.” Herbo is “working in a stripped-back mode, with strange rhythms and a non-stop delivery” on both songs. The tracks may be found on Herbo’s fourth studio album, 25, which is out now.

G Herbo Controversies

After their limousine chauffeur notified authorities that some of his passengers had firearms, Wright and two other men were detained in February 2018. Wright was seen in the back passenger seat of the car, putting a Fabrique National revolver in the seat back pocket. Wright and the other two males did not have Illinois firearm owner’s identity cards, and they were all charged with aggravated unauthorised use of a weapon, which is a felony under Illinois law. Wright was sentenced to two years of probation after pleading guilty to one count of improper use of a firearm, a misdemeanour, in 2019.

After an alleged violent fight with his child’s mother, Ariana “Ari” Fletcher, Wright was arrested in Atlanta on April 19, 2019, for simple violence.

On Thursday, April 18, Fletcher published her account on Instagram, writing, “Because I wouldn’t let him in, he knocked down my door and beat the f**k out of me in front of my baby. Then he took my son outside to his pals and had them drive away with him, hid all of my knives in my house, smashed my phone, locked me inside, and beat the f**k out of me all over again…” Physical symptoms of assault, she claimed, including a black eye and scratches, cuts, and bruises all over her body. Wright was freed on a $2,000 bond a week later. Following his release, he went on Instagram Live to talk about his fight with Fletcher.

Herbo said in the video that Fletcher had taken jewels from his mother’s home. He claimed specifically, “I’ve been deafeningly quiet the entire time. I’m not going to file an insurance claim or try to put you in jail. Nothing. You instructed me to return to Atlanta to get the jewels.”

On December 2, 2020, Wright and several associates, including Wright’s promoter and manager, Antonio “T-Glo” Strong; South Side rapper Joseph “Joe Rodeo” Williams; and alleged co-conspirators Steven Hayes Jr., Demario Sorrells, and Terrence Bender, all from Chicago, were indicted in a federal court in Massachusetts on 14 federal charges including wire fraud and aggravated identity theft.

Wright and his accomplices were accused of charging extravagant excursions, purchasing designer dogs, renting luxurious villas in Jamaica, and hiring private aircraft, all while using stolen identities. The scam allegedly amounted to millions of dollars over a four-year period beginning in 2016. Wright has maintained his innocence and “looks forward to demonstrating his innocence in court,” according to his management team.

G Herbo Charity

Wright assisted in the reconstruction of Anthony Overton Elementary School, a former Chicago elementary school, in 2018. Wright hoped to integrate equipment in this structure that may assist young people interested in becoming musicians. He also wanted to incorporate free activities and sports to keep kids occupied and away from the streets.

Wright introduced Swervin’ Through Stress in July 2020, a 12-week programme that gives Black children therapeutic options to better their mental health. His effort was motivated by his personal experiences and those of others in his community, as well as his severe post-traumatic stress disorder, which he developed as a result of his earlier treatment sessions.
