Fabian Schär, born 20 December 1991, is a Swiss professional footballer who currently plays for Premier League side Newcastle United as well as the Swiss national team.
Schär began his career at Wil before moving to Basel in 2012, where he won the Swiss Super League in all three seasons before joining Hoffenheim.
