Early Life
Koch was born 3rd May 1940 in Wichita, Kansas, to chemical engineer Fred C. Koch and Mary R. Clementine. Harry Koch, David’s paternal grandfather, was a Dutch immigrant who created Quanah Tribune Chief publication as well as the Quanah, Acme, and Pacific Railway.
