Christopher Lloyd is a popular American actor and comedian best recognised for his performance in the comedy movie series ‘Back to the Future’. Born in Stamford, Connecticut, he started performing in theatre from the early age of fourteen. After performing in more than two hundred stage productions, he began making presentations on films while he was in his late thirties. He made his introduction on the big screen with a supporting character in the comedy-drama film ‘One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest’. Lloyd was born in Stamford, Connecticut, the son of Ruth Lloyd, a singer and sister of San Francisco mayor Roger Lapham, and her husband Samuel R. Lloyd, Jr, a lawyer.

He is the most recent of three boys and four girls, one of whom, Samuel Lloyd, was an actor in the 1950s and 1960s. Lloyd’s maternal grandfather, Lewis Henry Lapham, was one of the ancestors of the Texaco oil company, and Lloyd is also a descendant of Mayflower passengers, including John Howland.
