Caroline Kennedy is a diplomat, author, and lawyer from the United States. She served as ambassador to Japan for the United States between 2013 and 2017. Caroline is the only living child of the 35th President of the US, John F. Kennedy, and the former first lady of the US, Jacqueline Kennedy. As well, she is the niece of the Senators Late Ted Kennedy and Late Robert F. Kennedy. Her father was assassinated when she was a young child in 1963. After that, her family moved to the Upper East Side of Manhattan, where she attended school.
Kennedy worked at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City after graduating from Radcliffe College, where she met her spouse, exhibit architect Edwin Schlossberg. Kennedy graduated from Columbia Law School with a Juris Doctor degree, and her career currently includes law, governance, teaching, and charity work.
