Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrović plays for EFL Championship club Fulham and the Serbian national team, for which he is the all-time leading goalscorer. A youth product of Partizan, he turned professional after a loan with Teleoptik and played for them in their first season of the Serbian SuperLiga. Club Career

Aleksandar Mitrović was born in Smederevo and came to Partizan through its youth system. In the 2011–12 season, he scored seven goals in 25 league games with their affiliated side Teleoptik before being promoted to the first team.

Partizan

• Mitrović signed his first professional contract with Partizan on 27 June 2012. Nine minutes after coming on as a substitute, he scored the club’s first goal in a Champions League qualifier against Maltese side Valletta.
• Mitrović scored a header against Tromso in the Europa League play-off round on 23 August 2012. In a home match against Jagodina three days later, he scored his first league goal.
• Mitrović opened the scoring in his first-ever Eternal derby on 17 November 2012, which Partizan eventually lost 3–2. Five days later, he also scored in a 1–1 draw away to Azerbaijani side Neftchi Baku in the Europa League group stage.
